Somatic mindfulness exercise: papillon

Produced by Many Trails Production for Medicinal Media. Directed and edited by Esther Shubinski. Produced and filmed by Battiste Fenwick. Music by Nine Inch Nails.

Papillon (butterfly) is a somatic meditative exercise hosted by seven-year-old Zoey from France. Zoey has us lightening our steps as we settle in and listen to the rhythm of life while thinking about the beautiful metamorphosis of the butterfly.

Zoey loves playing songs from the '80s and dancing her heart out while singing the chorus. When that’s not happening, she likes to watch movies in her room with a spare computer. But at night, just before bed, Zoey's favorite thing to help her get to sleep with a smile is The Cat in the Hat by Dr Seuss.

Let Zoey lead you through the French countryside, where her imagination takes flight.

She will take you through a short mindfulness exercise experienced as a butterfly soaring through the flowers.

“Take a deep breath. Look up to the sky and open your wings.”
